Meditators make beautiful
brainwave music together
Another great YouTube
find for you.
A group of people get together one
night to create music with their own brain
waves.
James Fung, a computer engineer at
the University of Toronto, designed an experiment
to create music by hooking up a large gathering to
EEGs, while a few are hooked up to ECGs
(electro-cardiograms) to use their heartbeats for
the rhythm section.
I love this video! What a great
idea! Maybe the music isn't all that spectacular,
but the shared experience and the pure experimental
nature of it are to be admired. Two thumbs up!
Also, check this out: Brain Music Power. Meditate
easily with this brainwave-powered music. The
creator offers a 60-day guarantee. Can't go
wrong there.
This next video is called "The
Future of Sound." In it, a woman gives a brief
"performance" of music using her own brainwaves to
trigger musical sounds. Later in the video, a
volunteer from the audience gets hooked up with the
EEG headband and tries to do the same.
Maybe this is the future of sound!
The technology is still very new and has a long way
to evolve, but this field is blossoming!
