Meditation is fascinating
with Proteus mind machine
And using AudioStrobe CDs just blow me
away!
I finally got around to purchasing a few "AudioStrobe"
CDs to go along with my Proteus light and sound machine
(reviewed here). These are
CDs that you put in your CD player, and then hook that up to
your "mind" machine, and it has special encoding that
makes the lights flash according to the sounds and "tapestry" of the CD.
I'm typing this, and I'm thinking, words just cannot
describe the incredible sights and sounds and experiences you
go through while engaging in this extremely relaxing-freaky
activity!
What in the world was I waiting for? The AudioStrobe CDs are
a huge boost to the mind machines (they are
available/interchangable for virtually all of the mind
machines, as far as I know).
I purchased "Dreams in the
Mind's Eye CD" (by Dr. Jeffrey Thompson, one of my favorite
composers/mind experts); "Eternal Elements I"; and "Journey of
the Drums." I got all of these at Luxe Vivante, which has a wide selection, and many multiple-CD set
offers, so you can save money if you buy
several.
Well, this is my new favorite
way to meditate. I've been getting into meditation much more in
the past year, availing myself of a variety of methods, and
really learning that meditation can be "fun." That's not quite
the right word for it, but it's not boring anymore. It's highly
relaxing, highly interesting and seems more beneficial lately,
like I'm really getting somewhere in my journey toward
Awakening.
I highly recommend the mind
machines I've reviewed. I have had no problems whatsoever with
the Proteus that I bought for
myself. The AA battery that runs it hasn't run out of juice in
more than a year! It's easy, quick, interesting and very
relaxing ... and with the AudioStrobe CDs, well, they just make
the experience many times MORE wonderful.
