Review: Proteus and ThoughtStream PackageTogether these two units absolutely ROCK!Wow! I had an opportunity to try both the Proteus Advanced Light Sound Stimulation System along with the ThoughtStream Biofeedback System, and I was really impressed. The two units are interlinked with
"BioConnect," which allows them to sync up together to create
powerful meditation and personal development sessions that are
absolutely individualized. Not only are they unique for you,
but they're unique for you every time you use them, for
whatever mood you happen to be in right now, or for whatever
kind of session you want to create right
now. The next four sessions are called "negative loop sessions." These are used for training yourself to relax, as the light and sound feedback reacts in a "negative" way when you lose focus or stop relaxing. But the more you do focus and relax, the more you are "rewarded." The maker suggests that being able to deal with the negative loop may help you in being able to shift back and forth in different emotional states or modes of consciousness. Good training indeed! The next four sessions help you to observe your mind and body during a session. The tone frequency and colors shift depending on your galvanic skin response measurements. And the last two sessions run both positive and negative biofeedback reinforcement. These are great for learning to deal with inner changes, according to the literature provided. In addition, you can design your own sessions with the free Proteus Session Editor Software available from the company's website. All in all, there's tons to work with -- plenty of training, as well as plenty of meditation and relaxation and exploring available with the Proteus and ThoughtStream units working together. I think these units provide real value in learning to meditate and in achieving deep states of relaxation, as well as "entertainment" value. I'm finding them to be VERY interesting and fun to use.
